Plastic Surgery - Can It Help You Get A New Job Or A Raise?

Plastic Surgery - Can it Help You Get a New Job Or a Raise?

Wanting to look younger and more attractive is not a new trend. However, wanting plastic surgery in order to get a job, keep a current career, or get a raise is a rather new pattern that more and more people are doing. With the current economy, there is plenty of competition in the workplace, so it definitely makes sense to give yourself the edge. But is a face lift or other similar surgeries the way to do it? Some studies show that it might be.

According to several studies, attractive people typically earn a little more than those with average looks. They tend to earn quite a bit more than those with below average looks. Based on such research, it might make sense to try to improve your looks a little. If you think you have a lot of work to do, plastic surgery can change your features drastically.

A nose job, brow lift, or even just some collagen in the lips might help. If you don't think your bone structure is to blame for your lack of a raise, you could consider less drastic measures, such as different makeup or some weight loss to improve your looks.

Some people look to plastic surgery not to make them more attractive, per se, but to make them appear younger. Many business owners prefer to keep younger people around as employees since they figure they will not be retiring anytime soon.

They hope that means they will stay with the company for years so that they do not have to train more people in the near future. However, just because you are older does not mean you do not have plenty of years left to work.

Plastic surgery can help some business owners change their mind, as they will automatically assume you are younger than you are. Dermal fillers can help fill in sunken cheekbones and eyes. Faster operations, like Botox injections, can smooth out your skin and get rid of wrinkles and fine lines. Such procedures can go a long way toward making you appear younger.

Whether you need to get the job, keep your current position, or get a raise, the results are in your hands. You do not have to go to extremes if you do not want to, but the fact is that plastic surgery can have a big impact on whether you do well in the workplace.

It might seem unfair, but the good news is that if you were not born looking like a model, you can take steps to convince others that you in fact were.
