Plastic surgery has become very popular worldwide nowadays. The process has widely spread and many countries are practicing it and continuously making innovations. In the Philippines, cosmetic plastic surgery is becoming more and more popular. Celebrities, actresses and models undergo this process.

Aesthetic surgery in the Philippines is considered to be affordable; a surgical nose-lift costs P20,000-P30,000. Those with high-paying jobs are able to undergo this kind of procedure. Philippine plastic surgeons are mostly based in urban areas such as Quezon City, Cebu City and Manila. Their fees are normally lower than those in the Western countries, but still the price is quite high for many native Filipinos.

Cosmetic surgery is popular in South Korea as well. Mostly women between ages twenty-five to fifty have undergone this procedure. Most people in Korea, especially celebrities and even politicians have grown comfortable in accepting plastic surgery in their society. The average fee of a rhinoplasty in South Korea (converted to dollars) is $1,500-$3000. With the influx of many people in urban areas, lots have been subjected to deciding whether to undergo plastic surgery or not. Especially when it is pictured in the media that a perfect face and a perfect body is a ticket to stardom and fortune.

These types of surgeries are accepted procedures today particularly in people whose line of work is that in television, acting or modeling. It is important to know the process and the different costs and situations of plastic surgery in different countries because this will also help in one's decisions on whether or not to undertake the procedure. Many factors or aspects of the process should be considered before going through with this because this is drastically changing one's body, or enhancing one's body. Anything can go amiss, and no one wants to have any regrets.
